Rashmika Mandanna who has been recovering from a hip injury has now dropped a health update. The actor, who was injured on the sets of her upcoming film ‘Mysaa’, recently gave fans a glimpse into her quiet time at home and confirmed that she is soon set to get back to work. The 30-year-old actor appeared to make the most of her unexpected downtime. Her latest social media post featured moments from her recovery, including performing puja, spending time with her dog, working on picture puzzles and unwinding in her garden. While the break gave her an opportunity to slow down and be around her loved ones, Rashmika admitted that she will miss these simple moments once she resumes shooting.“I am getting back to work soon, and I am definitely going to miss all of this! (sic),” she wrote.Rashmika first made headlines with reports of her injury in July, after she hurt herself while filming for ‘Mysaa’. On August 3, she addressed the reports herself, sharing details about the injury and explaining why she needed to take time off.The actor had earlier revealed that one of the four tendons connecting the hip to the leg on the right side had detached and required time to heal. She sustained the injury while filming a dance sequence for ‘Mysaa’, a project she has previously described as “the most aggressive film” she has worked on.“…the injury is basically… there are four tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff, and this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa,” she had written. The actor also took a lighter view of the setback, joking that perhaps the injury was the universe’s way of telling her to pause and take some much-needed rest. She referred to the period as a “forced holiday” and said she spent the time at home, solving puzzles and enjoying a slower pace of life. For someone accustomed to regular workouts, however, being unable to exercise proved to be one of the more difficult aspects of her recovery. Rashmika acknowledged that she was finding ways to keep herself occupied while trying to avoid gaining weight during the period when running and exercising were off the table.“Not complaining at all! I’ve been doing a lot of puzzles — had no idea I was this good with them,” she wrote. Before the injury forced her to press pause, Rashmika had been balancing several projects. Her immediate release is ‘Mysaa’, an emotional action thriller that is set against the backdrop of the Gond community. She will also star opposite Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Ranabaali’. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the Telugu period drama is set during the British era and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 11.With her recovery progressing and her return to work approaching, Rashmika appears ready to swap her peaceful days at home for the demanding schedule that awaits her on the sets.
