OUAT Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates applying for the OUAT Assistant Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the educational qualifications, age limit, language requirement, and other eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification.
Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the Assistant post, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Applicants must mention the percentage of marks obtained in their Degree examination in the online application form.
- The percentage should be calculated up to two decimal places.

The selection process consists of two stages.
Stage 1 – Written Examination

OUAT Assistant Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates obtain the same marks, the merit list will be prepared using the following criteria:
First Preference
- The candidate securing higher marks in the written examination will be ranked higher.
Second Preference
- If written examination marks are also equal, the older candidate (senior in age) will be placed higher.
Third Preference
- If both the written marks and age are identical, the candidate having higher percentage of marks in the Bachelor’s Degree will be given preference.
